Listing Policy: Gift Cards, Contracts, & Coupons

 Cell Phone Wireless Contracts Policy

NOTE:  MarketStop does not play a role in these types of contracts.  Therefore, we will not mediate, adjudicate, or even consider disputes in these cases.  Any issues with the transaction should be taken up with the merchant directly.  MarketStop is not privy to, or responsible for, any contracts carried out in the MarketPlace.

Merchants – When you list a contract for sale in the MarketStop MarketPlace, you are to bear complete liability concerning the rules of engagement when a sale is made.  We will not review, advise, adjudicate, mediate, or implement terms in any disputes or disagreements that may arise.  Questions you may have or advice that you seek regarding any contract should be taken up with legal counsel.

Please note that for consumer protection, only pre-approved merchants may market phone service contracts in the MarketStop MarketPlace.

 Permitted Listings Model

  • Listings for cell phone contracts may be listed for sale in the MarketStop MarketPlace
  • Cell phone contracts may or may not be bundled with a cell phone

 Conditional Allowances Model

  • When submitting cell phone contracts to the MarketPlace, the merchant must clearly put forth, without question, the states and/or ZIP codes that are covered by said plan in the listing description
  • The following text box must be included in your description, word-for-word  (Recommended – Copy & Paste):
    • “As a certified merchant of cell phone contracts, I, hereby, pledge and guarantee that I will grant a full refund within 10 business days to any of my consumers who do not meet the requirements necessary to receive the purchased service.  This may transpire if the consumer is incapable of meeting my credit requirements.  Additionally, these instances may occasionally occur if the consumer resides outside the area to which I am authorized to market or to which the plan covers.  The coverage areas and pertinent details in our plans will be presented, clearly, in every one of our listings.  Please read thoroughly before purchasing.  Thank you.”
  • Merchants marketing service contracts bundled with cell phones must adhere to the following:
    • Service contracts that are rejected must be refunded within 10 business days of purchase
    • Must be legitimate, authorized vendors of cell phone service contracts

 What is the reason for this MarketStop policy?

Cell phone service plans vary widely, especially concerning length of contract, area of service, credit score level, etc.  This policy is in place to aid the consumer and merchant in carrying out a positive and rewarding transaction for all.

 What is the reason for this MarketStop policy?

This policy is in place to provide knowledge to the unaware, and to protect the consumer from liability.  Also, this policy is to aid the consumer and merchant in carrying out a positive and rewarding transaction for all.

 

 Coupon & Gift Cards Policy

IMPORTANT:  TO AVOID FRAUDULENT SCHEMES AND NEFARIOUS ACTIVITIES BY THE THIEVES OF THIS WORLD, DO NOT, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, POST PICTURES OF UNALTERED COUPONS IN YOUR LISTINGS.  THESE CAN BE COPIED, PRINTED, AND REDEEMED!

Coupons may be sold on MarketStop, but you may only market up to $200 worth per month of legitimate, unexpired, genuine coupons.

Four types of gift cards are allowed for sale on the MarketStop MarketPlace.

  1.  Paper gift certificates
  2.  Phone cards
  3.  Retail gift cards
  4.  Travel agency gift cards

MarketStop is not liable in any way for any negative experience due to questionable activities on the part of either the consumer or the merchant.

 Permitted Listings Model

  • $500-max per month of legitimate, unexpired, genuine gift cards
    • Paper gift certificates
    •  Phone cards
    •  Retail gift cards
    •  Travel agency gift cards

 Conditional Allowances Model

  • There are no more than 20 coupons allowed for sale per listing
  • The description must clearly state how many coupons are for sale in the listing.  If this cannot be accurately and confidentially determined, then we will cancel the listing without hesitation.
  • Card must be in the mail within three business days of payment receipt
  • Total face value of all cards listed cannot exceed $500
  • Must have card in-hand at the time of listing and sale
  • Collectible cards with no face value; merchants must state so in the listing description
  • “Going Out of Business” cards, considering the business is still accepting the cards as an acceptable mode of payment

 Prohibited Listings Model

  • Coupons for recalled or obsolete items
  • Coupons that have been recalled
  • Coupon inserts (entire pages)
  • Coupons for free products or items
  • Electronic coupons are strictly not allowed; coupons must be physical, not virtual
  • Prepaid credit cards or money cards from any and all credit card companies
  • Store credit in “receipt” form

We support the all-out fight against fraudulent schemes.  We work with corporations, companies, and retailers globally to curtail fraud in the coupon industry.  This includes misleading language, circumvention, counterfeiting, and redemption fraud.
